Hi guys. I am looking for an inspection cover for a 1972 TH 400 tranny and the screws also. I have been told by a dealer it fits 71,72,73 but you may know different. I don't know a thing about trannys, other than they should have a cover on them. The part # I was given is 1378091 . Any help or more info is appreciated as I have called local shops , which said "No, try the dealer." The dealer said it was discontinued long ago.

Hi Scott, thanks for the quick reply. If you can see the part number and P.M. me with it that would help. If I find out some more info and it is the same, I'll gladly give you your price . What I'm afraid of is that it is close, but not quite perfect. I found one local and the car it was from was also a 70 and someone took a pair of tin snips to it to make it clear on the starter, so it may have fit mine O.K. , but it needed trimming to fit a 70 , or who knows what reason. Maybe it would have fit mine without the trimming , but the damage had already been done. Also , do you have the screws? Thanks again, Kevin.
