Would these work on a '73 TH 350? I installed one in my '64 Skylark along with a sbb 350.
    Shipping to 87020 thanks

64 skylark mike; with regards to whether or not the kickdown cable will work depends on the style of actuation on the link. Some cars have the link on the gas pedal, some have it on the carburetor. The cables in his pics are for the carburetor style links. Most 'carburetor' style cables will NOT fit on the firewall mounting hole for the 'gas pedal' style cable, there is significant size difference.
Overall, the cable length is not the issue, provided it is long enough in the first place. And the basic design stayed the same on 'transmission end' from start to end. You probably have a carburetor style linkage being that that car (64 Skylark had a mechanical linkage vs cable linkage on the carburetor to the gas pedal, unless you have converted it to cable link as well. It al depends on your set-up... Some carburetors do not have linkage capability on original design, but there are P>LENTY of adapters and conversions. Again, everything depends on your setup...

Steve, thanks for the info! I haven't converted to the gas pedal style because I didn't want to have to modify the firewall for all the changes. I'm hoping I can convert it to carb linkage. I noticed the kickdowns in the pics have the slotted end for the carb similar to what my '72 Chevy pickup had with 350 and Quadrajet.
My carb is a '69 Buick 350 carb on a '73 sbb 350 with iron intake. I have two different brackets for the block part of the cable to mount in. Hoping I can come up with a configuration that will pull correctly.
I'm open to any ideas from guys here that have been through this conversion.

    Thanks!

Michel, as it comes from the factory, the 69 carb does NOT have provisions for the kickdown cable, but that is a relatively simple correction. Some Q-jets have an area to mount a pull stud (Like for cruise control) Later (73+) carbs have two stud provisions, one for cruise, other for kickdown cable. I am not certain if the "cruise" location can be made to work with kickdown... There are 'add-on' linkages that put the linkage in the correct orientation. As a last resort, you can have the carburetor overhauled with new shaft bushings and have a later style shaft linkage installed, but not cheap, unless you are having the carb rebuilt...The 'add-on' linkasge is the cheapest method, and USUALLY works well with standard available Q-jet based linkage plates.

Thanks Steve. Would you happen to have any pictures or links for the add on linkage?
Purchased the kickdown cable from Don (fastest 430) and planning to see what I can figure out.

Yeah, just search "carburetor kickdown link" and "TH350 kickdown linkage", and there's PLENTY!!!
