Is there a way to test the blower motor and the relay or regulator (not sure of the proper name). It mounts to the fire wall. I have a new wire harness for the heater/ac. The lights go one for the controls in the car but no air comes out of the vents. SO I am trying to eliminate the small stuff first.

Is your engine running when you test for air flow ? You need the engine running or a vacuum pump for the needed vacuum to move these doors .There are vacuum operated doors in the duct work that have to be open and move to change the air discharge places .

Is the blower motor running and no air coming out the vents ? If so do you have all the vacuum hoses hooked up ?

I have the switch on the high position on heat nothing comes out. I dont think the blower motor is even kicking on. This all started from putting a new tachometer in. When under the dash I noticed that on the Heat/Ac controls in the dash had two wires melted together. MY heat and all the controls still worked even with the wires melted. So I ordered a new heater/ ac harness. Before I installed the harness I looked in the fuse box and instead of a fuse being in the heat fuse there was an all metal tube. SO I replaced the metal tube with the proper fuse and installed the wire harness. Since then all I get is the lights to illuminate on the controls. No air though?
Sorry im not the most mechanically inclined but I rather try to solve the problem my self then have some idiot scratch my car or crack the dash.

So what I was thinking I could try to do was find away to see if it is the voltage regulator on the firewall or blower motor. I thought by buying the new harness that I eleminated it being the wiring??

    :Do No:
