I read a bunch of articles and they all said that one of the benefits of ceramic pads was low noise. :Do No:

if you're still wanting to improve youre 0-60 heres two things to do..

Wildwood d52 2 pistion calipers with 94-96 impala ss d614 pads and then a rear disc kit from right stuff detailing..

if you want larger 11.8ish rotors wou;ll have to go with b-body spindles and 1le firebird rotors

anything bigger like ls1 or corvette brakes require larger rims ...17s :-(

a hydroboost setup i'm sure will also improve braking distance but it sounds a bit iffy to me still..

If you do the 'B' body spindles use cop car calipers and pads. More pad material & thicker too. '94 to,'96 in the NAPA book. Compare the pads, you'll see what I mean.

you can use them on the wilwood d52 calipers, and willing to bet they'll work with our cast iron calipers..

Ive got a set and definatly alot more braking surface pad!

Stopping power on my 72 GS is weak to say the least. What is involved in getting bigger rear wheel cylinders? Is there a special P/N for the 15/16" ones? Peace, Mike D.
