test fit the wheels from my 70 camaro just to see how much room I have(or don’t) To my surprise it fit......close but fit. If I roll the lip I have all kinds of suspension travel room. Now I have an idea what I can get away with!
with correct offset/ back space. you'll be surprised what will fit. I put 17x8, and 17x8 on my turbo buick skyhawk,, worked outstanding!
How's the clearance on the inside of the tire? I've used 275's with a roller fender lip. There's barely room for my finger tips on the inside or outside. Those are 285's correct?
I’ve got all kinds of room to the inside. I was really planning on narrowing a 9” to go under it because I want some dish on my wheels. This will make it roll until I decide on that direction. Oh and yes, it’s a 285/40. If I went to a 275 or 265 I wouldn’t even really need to roll the lip much.
