Do these idiots that blew up the train in Spain today really think they are going to change anything?? Do you think you can change peoples minds by force?? Its never worked before and it won't work now. Indeed! Didn't mean to try and take all the 'glory' for us. I KNOW there are LOTS of people from around the World fighting the good fight. Together, we WILL WIN! As an ex-Army vet, I am a little calloused about this maybe, But as a Family Man, OF COURSE I am eternally grateful to my fellow brothers and sisters in Service! I will NOT forget.....
When you are fighting an enemy so unscrupulous that you can't see them, hiding in caves and disguising themselves, blowing themselves up....I'm afraid the only way to win is to nuke them. I hope that won't happen, but this war could go on forever.......and unfortunately I'm afraid it's coming to a town near us.:shock:
I have worked in support of the Canadian military for 24 years ! We have personell spread out all over the world working on long forgotten conflicts doing peace keeping duties through the UN. There are members of my unit in the middle east right now and we have had ships doing patrols in the persian gulf since the first gulf war non stop ! In fact more interceptions and boarding were done by Canadian patrol frigates last year than any other nation. Don't see that on CNN ! We are spread pretty thin ! You know "do more with less" ! I am an Active duty Staff Sergeant in the Army. I am a fire support team trainer at the National Training Center, my job is to train every individual in my job skill prior to there deployment to Iraq. No one is more aware of there sacrifice than I. About the war, there is only one way to win. It sounds terrible, but fight fire with fire. Make the middle east a crater, problem solved. That is my personal view, of course, the govt. wants to give them thier own army and government again..... already!
Killing innocent civillians in order to promote your own political agenda is the way terrorism has always worked. Thus.. You are no different than them if your methods are the same. Think about that before you start talking about wiping out entire countries to keep a few ignorant a-holes from doing something to us. Besides.. There is no such thing as a ' War on Terrorism " Terrorism is an ideal not an actual thing. Just like the war on drugs that we've been losing ever since the term was coined. Food for thought.
What you have to understand is that we as americans are trying to make it a politcal issue, over there it is NOT political , Its not an issue of land, according to the coran its ALL ALA's lands everyone that is not a muslum (jews. americans etc etc) are all pigs and must convert or die. ITS ALL ABOUT RELIGION over there. And they are very serious about it too. when the world starts realizing this then will something happen to end it. As long as the musilums keep this attitude up they (the extreme ones) will continue to suicide/murder people. They dont care since by killing us pigs they get a higher ranking in the musilum heaven. The news channels go from one sensation to the next but they never tell the whole story. They even stopped reporting on the things that the US military has found (evidence of tortures, mass murders etcetc) All they talk about now is how we should be out of there and how many troops we have killed. What about all the people who praise the US every day over our presence. I know about this so that you know I have several friends over there in different areas and we have been communicating.
The problem with playing by the rules is that you cannot win....they are free to do whatever they want for their cause and we have to follow rules and guidelines so its done 'legally" and morally, and we will never catch up. Dude, You are watching mainstream news. CBS, NBC, CNN etc. You will only get one sided reporting on those channels. Believe me, there are other channels that report the bad AND the good. If you watch the "mainstream" news you will be 50% misinformed at all times on current issues.
I don't even watch CNN anymore......I'm sick of the same old rhetoric.....since we got satellite, I now enjoy reading Reuters....besides, no commercials, and I don't have to hear about Kobe Bryant and Laci Peterson every 10 minutes. Fox news is ok, but the prevoius statement spoils that channel too. I swear, every 10 minutes....they even have music that plays just before they talk about it so when I hear it I know it's time to change the station.:af:
I agree, while FOX is really the only news I can watch, you've got libs and ultra rights and middle of the roaders alike on that channel, the friggin film loops of Martha Stewart walking down the same steps 30 times in the same segment is enough to make me crack open the Old Grand Dad.
