TCI Turbo 400, short tailshaft

Will put in the Parts for sale column, don't need disciplining by internet Nazi geeks. :laugh: Thought I'd give the Pure STockers a shot at this first.

Decided to put my 68 W30 back together as a 4 speed (which it was originally) rather than an automatic. So....won't need the brand new TCI Turbo 400 that I bought. Has been installed in 2 of my cars, but never started. Always seem to end up converting or going back to 4 speeds on my cars. Never raced an automatic on a dragstrip in my life! Looks too easy! :laugh:

Anyhow, it comes with a Street fighter convertor (also brand new), is a short tailshaft, and I need to get $450 for it. Trades on Super T10 or Muncie 4 speeds OK. No junk, have plenty of that. Check out the cost in Summit/Jegs.

Sold. That sure was easy. Now who has a set of pedals and Z bar for a stick shift 68-72? Think I've got everything else.

Also looking for a Super T10 in excellent condition for the Ramrod. Tired of the granny shifting and with the VIN number of the car on it, really don't want to nuke it either.

Dave will be whining (like he already has been for years with his RamRod) about how how hard it is to launch with a stick and that's why he can't keep up with the other cars. I was looking forward to seeing him cruise down the 1320 with a beer in his right hand and his left foot hanging out the window. :rant:

Deal fell through on the buyer for the trans.thought it was too easy to believe, so it's still for sale. Checked out the convertor and it must not be a street fighter as it's a 12 inch convertor. ??????? Saturday night special?

1. Who exactly are you? same 68 post as ROP (Tim King?)
2. Put same ad in Rop within minutes of this one
3. First buyer was from ROP, finked out in a coupla days
4. The message in ROP was from the guy who finked out
5. I don't have any headers for sale (keep them all)

Welcome to V8Buick, Tim. I think it must be someone else asking you about your headers, I have 3 sets here, don't need any more. At one point I had bought 5 different sets trying to get something to fit the 403 in my 66 442. Finally gave up, sold the 403, and went back to the original 400.

Headers on this website are about as welcome as a beer fart in church (or on a date), so I don't bring that up here anymore.
