Does anyone know if an original '68 Buick tachometer that would be found in a 4-speed console will trigger with a MSD 6A Ignition module? Before I start looking for one, thought I'd better make sure it would work.

It'll probably work right out of the box. If not, you'll have to buy a MSD Tach Adapter which is around 50 bucks. That's what I did.

Should work just fine. But you must connect the tach to the output on the MSD Box. Do not connect it to the coil.

Thanks. I had an older tach (not Buick original) that worked fine until I put in my MSD. I hooked it up to the MSD output and it would work for several minutes and then quit each time I drove the car. I could never figure out why.

Or you can get them off ebay for around $25, like I did.
