I would do three things Keith. 1) Post an ad in the parts wanted section of this board. 2) Watch the Parts for Sale section of this board. 3). Watch eBay, they come up on there on occasion.
Yes, they are definately getting harder to find. I finally got one a few months ago, but it doesn't work. I need to send it somewhere to get rebuilt. Just haven't got around to it yet.
they can be hard to find in working condition, but certainly not impossible. I had one, and sold it a few months back. I remember talking with a couple of board members and they were able to find them as well. I would bet that if you advertised here and watched eBay, you would probably find one inside a month.
I am not an expert on them, but I think 64 - 67 are all the same. That one looks to be one for a Wildcat maybe, which I think is different. I think you may be able to take the tach out, and install it in your cup, but I am not certain. I don't have a picture of mine on my work computer unfortunately. ou:

All tachs that are designed for a console should fit 65-72. This is a knee knocker or console mounted tach that can be made to fit. You will need a die grinder to create notches in the inner housing for the screws that hold the tach inside the chrome bezel that is currently on your console. It can be done but will take some work to make this style tach fit inside yours.
