    Hello,
I recently installed ta's grooved cam bearings for my big block 455. The bearing installation went fine. After I degreed the cam with the heads off I had to remove the cam due to a crank problem. I noticed after I removed the cam there was a shiny spot on the six o'clock positon of the bearing. I know that is were the most pressure is excerted however, the crank/cam gear and chain were the only thing installed. Journals and bearings were lubed. All other bearings look fine. There are no scratches or ridges on the front bearing just a shiny portion. I looked at the old bearings that were removed and they had the same look. The motor was previously run several thousand miles with no problem.

Is this something that I should be concerened with?

    Thank you,
    Jon Thomas
