I'm running Poston's 113A cam. I love it. Great lopey idle at about 750 or so in gear. Great power up to my 6000 rpm limit.
I have the TA 113 Cam in a 430. Works great on the street and track. The car is a 73 regal with power breaks - no problems. As far as power the car runs 11.70's all day. Good all around cam. Joe:grin:
Definitely. I ran a generic "Holeshot" converter which probably stalled around 2200 or so and it was not a stormer off the line. I had a 9.5", 3200 stall converter made and WOW! what a difference. I knocked three tenths off my quarter mile times. And I was still leaving the line at about 1500 rpm. My brakes can't hold the car any higher than that.
I'm working on putting together a 455 and will be looking for a cam. I was wondering if this cam (113) will work well with the S/P converter and T-400 trans? Thanks Dan
i loved my 455 with TA113 cam. I had a sp TH400 and i could turn the back tires to smoke just by kicking the secondaries in at 30 mph. great rumpity idle too
Check out this thread, I asked the same question a while back... http://www.v8buick.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=41634
how about my riv How do you think this cam would do in my 69 Riviera. It has the 3.42 rear end and headers along with 72' 455 ported heads. I would also get a new ignition. thanks, will
I've got one in my '73 Stage 1 car. Nearly 4400# with me in the fully loaded car. Hows 13.18 @ 103 sound with street radials? Idles at 650 in drive and 850 in park with a Holley 850. Pulls well through all gears. I have a 2800 stall. 3.42 gears. Sounds fantastic with M/T headers and flowmasters. Zero valvetrain noise or problems with factory type rockers. Entire engine T/A built for last owner. 1970 Stage 1 specs with T/A aluminum intake manifold. Only complaint on the engine is cronic oil leaks...oil pressure to high????? Couldn't be more pleased with 113!:TU: :TU:
thats the greatest thing about the s/p tans, it makes eney cam streetable, i run the 4000 s/p,with the 113a cam.
