Yes there is a compny that make the repro T3 halogen we have discussed here. I remember Dave T posted about it. I think the intro price was 100 but now 125.
Not sure as to new ones? You may want to consider a nice set of used ones as that would be much less costly. I have a few sets of these and would gladly sell you a set if they are the style you need. They made several different styles of the T3's as evident by different markings on the glass. I took mine off as they just don't illuminate very well at night compared to halogens. They look cool on the car but safety is an issue I don't want to skirt. If you are showing your car, I don't think it's much of a penalty if you don't have them? Maybe some one will chime in and discuss more the different T3's GM made?
Reproductions are made by Lectric Limited and they are great. Don't waste your time or money on used lights, they are just looking for a place to die. The new ones are good and bright, work great.
I contacted "Lectric Limited" about setting up a group purchase on reproduction "T3" lights and they would not cut a break on the price for any quantity.. I would love to get a repro set but the price is pretty high... Here is a chart that shows the different T3's
Mike, Thanks for the chart to reference the different styles of T3 headlights. That was particularly helpful!
Something I have never understood, could someone please explain why "T-3" headlights are so sought after?o No: Other than "Originality", aren't there "Better" Replacement headlights available, CHEAPER, at your local auto parts store, or Wal Mart, or ANYWHERE else (other than Year One, etc)?o No: Standard replacement headlights are around $8 each, here. Just asking to learn why T3's are so "expensive".
Yep its the orginality thing, they really aren't that great of lights to justify the price (the wagners are probably better). Patrick
