I have a 1971 Skylark , 350-4bbl., no air stock Q-Jet. If i want to bypass the TCS solenoid on the carb, and run a vacuum line from the vacuum advance to a ported carb port, What should i do with the wiring connected to the TCS solenoid ? Can i leave it connected, just worry about the vacuum lines, or will this effect the trans shifting? Thanks.

You can leave the wring, or eliminate it. It has no effect on transmission shifting.

Do i have to change anything down at the transmission or just leave everything stock the way it is?

No, not at all. All the transmission does is signal the TCS solenoid with a pressure switch on the valve body. All you need to do is run your vacuum hose from the carburetor to the vacuum advance. Doesn't matter what you do with the rest of the system. Makes no difference what you do with the rest of the TCS. Leave it in place, eliminate it, doesn't matter.

I have always left them unplugged at the carb.
