    Hello,

I'm looking for a BOP pattern short shaft t-350 tranny for my '68, preferably including the converter. I'm looking in the Puget Sound area of Washington. Anyone have one laying around?

    Lee,
I think this is your lucky day! I have two of these. The first one is a '68 T-350 with convertor that needs a rebuild. The other is one that I just had rebuilt (it's a early to mid 70's T-350 and rebuilt by one of the best tranny guys in Kitsap county) and have put about 1000 miles on it (just enought to break it in :Brow: ).
Personally I would like to sell you the rebuilt one for what I paid for the rebuild- $275. This way you can drive the car and test the tranny before you buy it. Or if you prefer I'll sell you the one that needs a rebuild and you can tell me what it's worth and we'll go from there.
I live in Port Orchard, you can call me at work from 0600 - 2:30 @ 360.396.8421 or email: todd.cole.ctr@swfpac.navy.mil or reply here.

    Cheers,

Just in case you didn't know, Port Orchard is right in the middle of Puget Sound. I'm only an hour away from Seattle.

Todd what do you think it would cost to send the rebuilt T350 to 42413?

Sequim? I have lots of relatives living there and in Gardiner. You must have seen the purple castle and all the trolls/cyclops in Gardiner then, right?
Bandy's troll haven I believe is what they call it.

I'm going to ask around about shipping a Tranny, I've never done it and don't know the correct procedure for it, or a good shipper.

Yep know right where it's at been by there in my buick & also did job's in the area You would probley have to drain the fluid which would be easy, get a cap for the rear & i think that's about it :Do No: Why are you taking it out anyway? Also would you happen to have a 70-72 floor shifter cable & trans bracket? Lee :)

    Hello Lee,

Sorry it's taken so long to get back to you. I have been working on getting my roof and garage door installed since I talked to you last.
I am really missing my switch pitch tranny and would like to have it back. I only drive this car to and from work so it doesn't really matter which tranny I use. Also my carb linkage is setup for the '67 tranny which makes it a real bear to try to get the cable type kickdown for the tranny to work with my linkage.

I don't have any linkage for a '70-'72 buicks, sorry.

I'm trying to get a quote today for the tranny and will PM it to you as soon as I get it.

    Thank you!

    Hello Lee,

This has been the busiest couple weeks of my life! It's unfortunate it's not only affecting me but you as well.
We had to make an emergency trip down to California for a family emergency. So as soon as I get back our Network goes down at work (I do all of my Internet work at work) and I'm working 13 hour days to get the sucker back up again. So now it's Monday and we are still repairing the damage on everyone's profiles due to 2 bad servers. This is the first time I've had Internet access since last time I posted. Sorry about it all, it's just crazy around here...
I'm going to call greyhound again (they never called me back) to get an estimage on shipping.
Thank you so much for your patience!
You can call me at work at 360.396.8421.

    Hello Lee,

Ok it seems the average price is about $195.00 and that's to Evensville Indiana - 47725 (they say it's the closest terminal to you that is the cheapest). If you want it to your house your looking at $255.00
Shipping has gone up he said.
Let me know if your still interested. But I assume you could prolly have one rebuilt for less. Let me know otherwise

    Thank you for your patience!!

    Cheers,

I also called Rick and left a message asking him if he could run it over your way next time he heads out. But I haven't heard back from him yet, maybe I'll bug him again today.

It's a short shaft with a standard rebuild including having the torque converter taken apart and rebuilt. Unfortunately it has no shift kit in it. It's either a '75 or a '76.

Fleetwood, I'm home every weekend so call me evenings and weekends at 360.895.4227

    Cheers,

I've got one here just south of Branson, MO
Th350, short tail, numbers on it are 250102479. Not sure what it came out of, but it was behind a '76 350 in my 66 P*ntiac. Needs rebuilding because it has not been used since '94 and the seals are probably gone.

    Hello Lee,

Yes I talked to him on Friday afternoon and he said he may not be able to take it since he is not going that way anytime soon and he is also trying to get out of his car hauling job he took on. :puzzled:
Looks like we may be losing his services to the board :ball:

So I called DHL and they said as long as it doesn't exceed 150lbs then they would ship if for roughly (I didn't have the exact dimensions so I guessimated) $150.00

Let me know what you decide and thanks for your patience,

    Cheers,
