I am working on a 67 Buick Special 300-2 for an older gentleman in our Church. He needs a Switch Pitch Torque Converter Switch. Does anyone know where I can get one? Does anyone have a part number for this item? Does anyone know what cars this switch will interchange with. Thanks in advance. Mr. Scott (age 82) will appreciate it. This is a really nice car. FYI: He also has a 55 Crown Victoria, 76 Eldorado, 85 Lincoln, and a V6 67 buick special 4-door.

Is the switch not working or missing completely? I believe they are repairable.

I would try and weld or tack the linkage. The switch activates half way down the tube, and again at the end of the throw for passing gear. Hope this helps Ian.

    Pic?

Can you get a picture of what exactly is broken, and I am sure someone on this board will be able to help you either get another part or perhaps some clearer advice on how to fix it? In my adventures thru the local boneyards here, I have come across several linkages and switches, and most are in still very useable condition. It appears the kickdown switch (the microswitch) are what usually are all bad on these that I see, as they just can't take being out in the elements that well. :)
