    hi,

ive swapped the 400 out of my 67 gs in favor of a 455. the engine has a 73 455 rochester quad on it and i cant figure out a way to hook up the switch pitch kickdown/detent switch to the throttle linkage. it looks like the linkage is riveted onto the carb? is anyone else running a 67 with a switch pitch and a non stock carb?

Maybe try getting a later model gas pedal with the kickdown switch mounted to it?

A 1/4" bolt will fit through the eyelet of the kickdown and the throttle linkage on your 73.

You way want to disconnect the SP kickdown in favour of a manual activation.

    455/SP400 in a 67....nice combo!

DON'T connect the stock linkage. You'd be much better off getting a new electronic switch pitch controller from Bruce Roe.

His controller is not just a simple throttle position activated switch. He uses manifold vacuum, a timer delay, and such to get the most out of the switch pitch!!!
