Besides the adapter plate which I have, what else will I need to make the quadrajet work with my sp2 dominator intake?

How is your PCV valve connected with the Dominator intake? Throttle linkage? You may need some kind of adjustable cable. Do you have enough Hood clearance for the adapter? I would sell my Dominator SP2, and buy the Q-jet SP2. Then you can easily run the Q-jet, or a Holley with a very thin adapter plate.

I'm not familiar with the intake in question, but just a note on using a spread bore carburetor on any type of open plenum intake manifold. We've have observed dramatic LOSS in power on open plenum intakes when at least a 1" well blended spacer wasn't present between the carb and intake.

On one test in particular, we saw a difference of 102HP from using and not using a spacer under a q-jet on a Victor intake.

I suspect that the spacer helps as it gets the huge secondary throttle plates up out of the plenum and improves distribution or eliminates or at least minimizes distribution issues caused by the difference in depth between the small primary throttle plates and the huge secondary throttle plates......Cliff
