That old adage that they come in threes... 10/10/2004 52 Christopher Reeve 10/05/2004 82 Rodney Dangerfield 10/03/2004 77 Janet Leigh
respect you sure do have to respect someone that had such a great life change but turned around and worked to the good of all - his wife also has been so courageous and supportive through all of this
I was not a fan of his personal views, but he was a good actor and a great man.All the work he has done to help spinal cord injuries will not be in waste. Rodney Dangerfield, Christopher Reeves, Ken Camminetti. :ball:
I don't know weather to feel sorry or envy them. If you have any faith you know they are in a better place that if they could, they would not return.
He sure got Spinal cord injuries noticed. What a horroble injury, but I think it happened to help others. Especially bringing awareness to how the insurance companies aren't very helpful. He seemed to be up to the task. One of only a handfull of celebrities I had respect for. See ya Chris.
Just My thoughts Back 1999 I was in a MAJOR Motorcycle accident. I was hit by a Semi on a major highway near me. I was thrown 289 feet down the Highway and bounced off a bridge aburtment Crushing my left hip and fracturing my right hip along with breaking all my ribs and puncturing both lungs and puncturing my stomache. I broke just about every bone in my body I spent 4 months in the Hospital and was told in the begining that I might not walk again and if I did I would be paralyzed on my left side. Well as I laid in my hospital bed I watched a 20/20 show and he was on the show talking about the human spirit and how If are willing to committ yourself to regaining your ability to move you can do it. Well I was not a fan of his Movies, I was a fan of his courage and and will power. I would always think of that interveiw when I was in rehab. And I now walk with the aid of a cane and the Doctors don't know how I am moving my left side. Say what you will about him but he was a strong willed man and I thank him for showing me that I could recover if I really wanted to! May he rest in peace and finally be free from the pain and suffering. God Bless, Don
