Suggestions for a carb

    Any suggestions on the best carb for this 455 set up

    Engine is a 1970 455, bored .30 over w/ 10/1 Hyper pistons , the cam is Postons gs 112-A, heads are essentually stock just hardened the valve seats to run no lead gas, Postons alum intake, and headers. Stock electronics, and larger oil pump.

    Mark,
    Sounds like all you need is a decent re-built 800cfm Q-jet from John Osborne:TU:

    Yeah, rebuilt Q-Jet is the way to go!!

    Hi Mark,

    Just wanted to jump in and say that I'm runnning the same cam as you! I think you are the only other member here that I've seen running the Poston GS112A besides me. It's docile and has a nice idle doesn't it? I wanted something fairly close to stock with lots of streetability.

    BTW, I had JO work me a 7040240 Q-Jet and he does exceptional work.
