This is the first time I have posted a message, I have been visiting this site for a few months and really enjoy it.
The reason for this is to ask which shop manual you folks would recomend. I bought a 67 gs 400 , and it is in need of a lot of work which I plan on doing mostly my self and would like to go about it the right way. I have a lot of mechanical experiance but not much in the body work area . Any help would be appreciated.
This is not my first 67 gs 400 , I bought one back in 68 when I git out of the service, it was sure a runner, blew the engine up with 20k miles and it cost me about $16 for a new one , I long for the days of 5 year / 50k mile warrenties. Retired now and wanted one to rebuild.
I live in northeast wyoming, Gillette , and my name is SAM

    Welcome to the board Sam!!!

Your best bang for your buck is a Chassis manual. I believe TA Performance sells reproduction manuals - www.taperformance.com

Sam, Get in touch with AIC manuals and get a chassis manual that will cover the mechanical things. Then get the body manual to cover the body. And then get an old Motors manual, they come in 10 yr. brackets so You have info on each side of your year model. Also the motors has a lot of spec s in them that is easy to read and handy for any machine work that has to be done. Manuals dont cost money they will save you far more than they cost. :Smarty: The 67 GS 400 is a nice rig. It will be fun to work with and You can be proud of it. :TU:
