they have used 494 Setup in the Swap Meet section for $2500 plus core crank. 7.1" Rods :eek2:

or you could always get a small stroke by offset grinding the rod journals and using a smaller journal rod.

I have a set of rods for sale right now for a stroker set-up. I had a stock crank offset ground to 4.05" stroke and BB Chevy journal size. You end up with about 481 c.i. depending on the bore size. The rods are Eagle H-Beams that are 6.535" long. They will connect the above crank to a standard Buick piston with some room to deck the block to the desired deck clearance. Six of the rods are perfect, one needs re-sized, and one needs replaced. I am selling all eight for $200.

Just thought I'd mention it. Have fun.

Yep, you're right. My screw-up. I didn't build that motor, I just bought it already assembled. Long story, bad ending. I know the rod journals are BB Chevy because I measured them with a mic after taking the motor apart. I just never did the math. I went back to a standard stroke to fit into Street Eliminator. Thanks for the correction. I didn't mean to re-route this thread, just thought someone might want these rods. Any offers?

    Have fun.

They do make the BBC rods with either the standard 2.20 or the small size 2.10 big end.
