Strawberry Fields Forever!

    Strawberries bought in the stores have a lot of pesticides. At least yours are organic.:)

    How much will you get out of that patch? They sure look good. How long will the picking last?

    I don't know how much we're gonna see this year, this is our best crop--by far.

    The thing we've learned with strawberries is that once they get ripe you better pick em. On hot days they ripen so fast that if you leave them too long, it seems like they start baking.
    I picked that batch yesterday and it looks like there's another batch ready today.

    So far I would guess it's been 8-10 pints. Probably at least that many left.

    Completely Organic and Non-GMO...LOL
    I have weeds growing all over my walkway and driveway and I won't even spray RoundUp any where on the property.

    The only real insect problem is if a berry is laying on bare ground it draws these tiny little slugs. If it's resting on green leaves or even dead ones we don't seem to have the same problem. Good thing slugs don't eat much.:D:D:D

    If you see Robins around, get some netting quick.

    Put a saucer filled with beer out for the slugs. They love the stuff. They crawl in and drown. ws

    "Get outa my face you slug, or Ill letcha have it.." best I can do LOL...

    What do you do when two snails have a fight? Leave them to slug it out!
