I heard a rumor that Scott Brown is out of the muffler business. Can anyone shed some light on this? I sure do like his mufflers behind my 455. I hadn't yet purchased any for my 65 GS. Thanks Patrick
Patrick, Scott is out of the STREET muffler business. He's still doing race mufflers. I bought a set of his short mufflers a couple months ago (he's out of long-case) and he still had a few sets of the short ones on the shelf at $60 per. I like the sound of them fine, much better than the 3-chamber Flowmasters I had. I've never heard his long-case so can't compare, but it doesn't matter, he won't be building more. He said he got tired of spending all his time answering questions about how they sound compared to FM, etc.; pretty tough to explain over the phone, and explaining their performance over other brands.
