When my front wheels are perfectly straight---my steering
wheel is not straight ie,the bottom spoke is at 7oclock
instead of 6 oclock--is there a reasonably simple cure for
this?---not devastating-- just looks weird when driving
or parked with front tires straight, Thanks

You should be able to pull the wheel and put it back on in the desired position, and put it back together.Although not devastating as you say but kinda like a picture crooked on the wall, kinda bugs ya.Goodluck.

Like Bruce said, you can pull the wheel along with the hub and rotate it over a spline or two. Just make sure your wheels are straight so that you don't have to pull it off a second time :Dou:

I replaced the wheel/hub on mine and did not align it correctly so my wheel looks like yours, I just have not gotten arount to fixing it

As a quick fix you could pull the steering wheel and move it over to the next spline. The question I have to ask is why is the wheel off center to begin with? If you have done any front end work or it has happened gradually over time I would reccomend taking it in for an allignment. The $45 would be worth the piece of mind having the steering & suspension checked for worn parts, not to mention the tires possibly wearing out sooner. Of all the allignment angles "toe" will cause the worst tire wear over the shortest period of time, and this is the adjustment that causes the wheel be be off center.

I'll second the alignment sentiment... a good alignment. It can be aligned leaving the wheel off-center. Make sure it's done right.

Sure, you can pull the wheel to center it but if you want the car to steer and handle properly you need a proper front end alignment. The steering components were designed to be centered when the car is going in a straight line. The pitman arm and idler arm should be parallel with the frame rails when the front wheels are straight. If not, you adjust the tie rods.
