Does anyone make an off the shelf or to order delete plate for the choke well on a stock 455 intake manifold?

    Cheers

Bob,the earlier manifolds have one hole and a guide,up to 1970 inclusive ,71 has 2 holes,73 and up have 3 holes,Very easy to make or have somebody make a plate for you to cover that hole.Bruno.

Interesting. My Electra is 1972 registered but with a lot of 1971 build date parts and yet it has a three bolt choke hold down.

It does look like a simple part to make but I figured if someone offered them I'd give them some business.

    Cheers

I have a couple extra of the bottom part of the choke, with the 3 bolts, clean and shiny might look good.I'm going to check and see if those can be reversed,it would look even better.Bruno.

Bruno - thanks for the offer but I'll most likely end up making something myself.

    Bob,

Curiously, what is the casting number on your intake manifold? As Bruno said - 71 has two holes and '72 has three holes.

I'm quite sure your manifold is a '72 vintage. There should be a casting date cast into it.

Good job Bob I've been watching this thread to see what you came up with. I was going to suggest finding a piece of 1/8" thick aluminum plate to make one and polish the snot out of it to make it nice and shiny:D
