    Hello,

I have chased down several leads and still have not found the front vacuum seal that fits between the master cylinder and the front of the booster. Anyone have any idea as to where I can find one of these :Do No:

I cannot drive the buick until I replace this little part due to vacuum leak, someone help :(

Is that gasket a paper type, styro, or rubber. You can buy styro and rubber sheets from metro and cut it useing the back side of the master or old gasket as a pattern. If it is a paper type you can do the same thing using a corn flakes box and permatex. I know it isn't concourse but sometime you have to improvise. Good luck.

    Glenn,

I don't think this is a piece that can be made. It is a cup-like piece made of rubber that is about an inch deep.

    Thanks,

    Chris

    Chris,
Contact Jim Weise. I seem to remember him sending one to someone else on this BB sometime ago. He rebuilds brake boosters, and I would imagine a rebuild kit would have this seal. That's not something you will find in your average auto parts store.

Sorry.. I didn't see this thread...
I just gave one to a friend tonight. :Dou:
He's getting close to finishing his 66 LeMans (GTO clone), and one of the last things he wanted to do was convert it from single reservior manual brakes, to a dual resevior power brake setup.
I told him to stop by "Ricks 66-67 GM A-body farm" after work and I'd fix him up.
I gave him a booster, master cylinder, and proportioning valve.
I didn't realize that the little rubber cup seal was so hard to find. I would have at least charged him a beer for everything, had I know that. Matter if fact, I think I'll head over to his house in a bit and see how's he's doing.... and get that beer!

Oh well... It's worth it. His beloved pocho will be stopped by Buick parts forever now! muwwahaha
