    There is no cure. I tried ALL these tricks--no permanent fix, so I just bought a new one--repro, so not the thicker GSX wheel that came on the GSX and that Duane used to make repros of. The guy sells them on evil bay as Camaro wheels, but they are the same:

    Tricks or not, cleaned mine in Simple Green 5 yrs ago and still as good as the day I cleaned it.
