Anybody ever have their steering wheel restored? I was wondering how a recast wheel compares to an original. Also, how expensive is it to have done? :Do No: David

Recast? Is this something a restoration service does to old, used wheels? Do you have any info on who does this? Thnx Patton

Well, called "Quality restorations" and was told "We don't do that one". I haven't been able to reach anybody at JB Donaldson. Anybody have any other ideas?

    Thanks.

I would still call JB Donaldson again. They are in Phoenix and on Mountain time.

Somebody was asking if a 1969-1970 16" sport wheel could be restored. As far as I know only the wheels made from hard materials can be fixed. The companies use an epoxy to do the repairs and then top coat the wheel to the correct color.

I don't re-cast the 15" or 16" regular sport wheels. The only ones I do are the thick grip 15" 1970 GSX/Nova Yenko wheels.
