67 GS-wheel has cracks around rim and big crack behind horn button. Appears to be relatively standard. Need it restored. Any suggestions for restoration or warnings on who to stay away from? Thanks?

I've sent e-mails to several who restore steering wheels. So far only JB Donaldson has replied and their service starts at $795. Sent one e-mail to Pearlcraft-a place in Australia. Had my front grill badge on 36 Buick done in Australia and price was right and job well done.
My wheel is cracked in two or three spots and badly cracked on underneath side. Must be restored but don't want to break the bank.
Any help or experience would be appreciated.
    Thanks

Yikes! $795??!?!? Holy cow......that's slightly expensive. I have a piece of crap aftermarket steering wheel on my '65 Special and hate it. I have my original wheel too but its just as cracked as San-Fran in '89. I'm not even going to try and restore it myself because I know I can't do it justice. There is a member on here named Buicfrank who back in 12-10-2004 got a quote for $245 to have one reproduced but.........not even a slight hint its even close 2.5 years later. How many people would be interested in a new steering wheel?!? I'm sure it would be an endless list but its just as likely as December 10, 2004.
