    Hi Guys

I replaced my steering box about a year ago with a Borgenson Saginaw style. Have had trouble getting the pressure line fitting to seal. Has leaked a little since day one. Had new hoses installed with new ferrule. Wondering if anyone has had this issue before and might have a suggestion on how to seal it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

    Leo

I have to respond with the fluorescent dye / blacklight check. Those connections should be inverted flare no? Get a GOOD crowfoot flare nut socket and tighten it GOOD! ws

Yes they are. Used a good flare wrench. Will try the dye.

    Thanks

Are those stainless pipes? If they are, pull them apart and clean them (surgically clean) with some brake cleaner, and wipe a FILM of anaerobic sealant ON THE FLARE seats and re-install/tighten. I am talking like apply with a pencil point! ws

    Bill

Ended up pulling the hose off. Threads looked a little iffy. Happened to have a new one for a big block El Camino at the shop. Worked perfect. No leak. Little shorter so I don't have the big loop in the hose like I used to .

Thanks for the help. P.S did you the crowfoot.

Im confused... was that supposed to be "did use the crowfoot"? Ive had a set for years. I use them on brake stuff and fuel pump/line connections. 3/8" drive set from snap on. Best 5.00 at a garage sale I ever spent! BTW, that was on a rack with 3/8 through 7/8 in 6 point! Glad its all dry! ws
