2001 Aurora (Olds) should be similar to LeSabres. No lights on a couple of the remote fan and temp buttons on the steering wheel. Nothing in the owner's manual except see your dealer. Anybody replaced the bulbs or are they some sort of fiber optics. There is a plastic cover bezel like surround on them but afraid to start prying. If its pretty simple I'll give it a try, otherwise I'll drive it during the day and let my wife drive at night!
I think they are a very tiny version of a 194. I do not know what the # is, but gm seemed to be the only place i could get them.
Thanks, I wouldn't be surprised if I had to get them from a dealer. But, my concern is how to get at them out without breaking something. I hope you don't have to remove steering wheel? Or use special tool.
Can't help with the Olds but had a similar problem with my '07 150 recently. Walked into the dealer's parts desk asking for an exploded view of the dash. The light by/@ the odometer not working. Two weeks later I have a completely new dash cluster.....go figure? Bulb is built into the circuit board & non-serviceable. Warranty job including a rental for the day.
SAFETY NOTE!!! Any time working on newer cars with airbags, disable the activation system. It's not just pulling a fuse! See Chilton or Motor manual at local library in reference section 628. Hate to see somebody get the surprize of activating the airbag at close proximity. NOT FUN! (Not cheap to fix either)
