Steel Shim Head GAskets

Where can I get a set? Do they still produce them? I believe the steel shims are 20 thousandths and orange crushes are 40 thousandths. I would like to avoid decking my block to retain compression if possible. Thanks DK

 

I think I got mine at Carquest. T/A performance has them too.

 

I believe those gaskets are no longer in production. I think they are also not avavailble from T/A.

 

Rat, i believe Cometic gaskets here in Ohio have a .027 thick head gasket. Randy

 

Postons sell them but they are .042 thick. Mike D.
