What would be a good FM radio antenna to put in the trunk ? I don't want one showing on my 64' Lark .

There is no good antenna in a trunk...nothing will work well. It is completely surrounded by metal and IF you get a signal in there, it would be very weak at best. An antenna in the windshield, like the 70 and up A bodies, didn't work very well and most all manufactures returned to an antenna mounted in the clear on the body of the car.

I guess you could fab up something to mount at the top inside of the windshield or rear glass but it would not work as well as the fender mounted antenna. You could take some wire, not touching the body of the car, and attached it to the coax going to the radio (center conductor) and ground the shield of the coax to the body, that may work. FM is horizonally polarized, AM vertical. Orient the wire horizonal for FM and vertical for AM and let us know if it works. You should make the wire about 31" long, if I'm not mistaken, to work best for FM.
