I relocated my battery to the trunk, the engine ran and started fine then all of a sudden no start. I checked the grounds and there is power to the starter. I have replaced the starter and new solenoid recently because the old one wasn't working consistently. This was even before I relocated the battery. The replacement was a rebuilt oem for my 455. I am starting to think that the rebuilt starters are haywire. Any suggestions? Would I be wrong to go for a new high torque smaller starter? I am running headers and they are fairly close to the starter. Could this be the problem?
