While under the hood of our new (old) 66' GS w/401 I noticed the power cable coming off the driver side junction block routed over the brake booster. It then travels down between the driver's side manifold and the head between the back two exhaust ports. It looks like an electical meltdown waiting to happen. My question is where is this cable from the junction block to the starter supposed to be routed? Looks to me it would be safest to run it towards the front of the car then under the manifold and back to the starter. Anyone have any pics of how it's supposed to be? Thx Scott

Routing is shown page 120-130 of the chassis service manual.
It goes back from junction block between brake master cylinder and steering shaft. held to fire wall with clamp then down to starter.
