Starter mount repair

    I've done the search, and all I can find is this thread --> http://v8buick.com/showthread.php?t=107552&highlight=welding+block

    Their repair looks much worse than what I've got here. So what would be the best way to repair this? I'm thinking about putting a helicoil in, and then having my machinist build up a weld to fill in the missing piece. Suggestions? :Do No:

    I would do what they did in the other thread, Weld in a stud.
