Star Wars Air Cleaner - note description - also has reserve ! http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=I&category=34198&item=2448995533
From the looks of it, the darn thing might bring between 3 and 4 hundred. Any guesses? My bet is around $375. I was going to bid on it but it will be out of my price range by tomorrow and besides I already have one. I just need a replacement base.
Don't know how rare they are, but there's not too many survivors in good condition ! Most of the ones I've seen go for big $ - even the junk ones! This past fall a '67 Riv with the SWAC (a project car @ $1500 Cndn) - the owner turned down my offer of $200 Cndn for the SWAC only. It was probably the best selling feature on the car! Just something different and only available the one year. My guesse on the eBay one - $375, and I'm not bidding - Wait till the snippers have at it ! Just shows to go yah !
About two months ago I bought a 67 GS 400 (Some of you may have seen the thread) just because it had a really nice, complete air cleaner that my buddy wanted (and it wasn't even on the car, it was in the trunk becuase it wouldn't fit with the SP1 intake). Hard to find them with the chrome nut, the base, and without a bunch of chips and cracks. He took the aircleaner and we sold the car three weeks later. In hindsight, we should have taken the console tach to. :Brow:
looks like it has been detailed, or at least repainted. says it has 3-4 chips on the underside. and the seller say he doesnt know what it goes to! and i have never played poker in my life!:Smarty:
