Stange growth on trani tunnel?

Does anyone have a transmission tunnel left from replacing some floors on a 66 skylark? My floors are perfect, just need the tunnel.

As you can see mine has a strange growth and I am afraid if I dont cut it out and replace it, it might spread. ou:

Different. Is it dented in from the other side? Could be bondo used by some previous owner.

Tunnel bumpies

I think I detect the handiwork of the trailer dwelling "mechanicus biggerhammercus".

Looks like somebody just wanted a lilttle more room under there. 38 years is a long time - it's amazing what these cars have gone through since they were new!

it actually looks like a hammer did it. there are two spots on the frame that have had something welded to it. some kind of brace maybe.o No:

anyway, anybody got a section to fix it?

 

You can get the floorpans through most sheetmetal places, but the tunnel is a little tougher...
