This may sound like I'm from outer space, but I'm looking for a set of new forged standard bore Buick 455 pistons and rings, 9 & 1/2 to 10 & 1/2 to 1 C/R.

Is there any such thing out there?

    Thanks in advance,

I know a year to two ago there was a guy trying to sell a set of NOS Sealed Power forged pistons on e-bay. They were listed several times, and I don't think he ever got any bids. These were the old discontinued part # with the shallow dish like the stock 70 pistons.

Re: Standard Bore Buick 455 Forged Pistons (1 or 2???)

Well, here I am again. That set of Federal Mogul L2353F standard bore forged pistons included one piston that was apparently manufactured 0.006" undersized. No reflection on the seller, but I'm now in a pickle. So-o-o...

Anyone have one or two odd new Federal Mogul L2353F standard bore Buick 455 pistons laying around?

I prefer to purchase only one or two due to cost, but will purchase an entire set if necessary.

    Thanks, guys.

Be sure to check the piston weight of those 2353f's. I have a set that vary from 964-969 grams. BTW the old 2362's weighed right around 975. One of those pistons could work for you also if weight matched.

So, Ray.. Are you saying you have either a NOS L2353F standard bore forged piston, or a set of them, available for sale?

They will be balanced... after I get a replacement, or replacements, for the undersized one.

No I'll be using them in a NOS block I have for a backup for the race car. I was just stating the 5g difference in the set I have.
If I come across one or more I'll contact you.

Thanks, Doug. Judging from the price ($25 each) and model year (1971-76), I suspect that they are low compression cast pistons.

Worth a try, though. Who knows, you may have solved my problem.
