    Hi ,

i bought stainless steel lines for my 67 from the parts place.
all of the lines, fuel ,tranny, brake, and pump to carb.
and i guess they get them from the right stuff.
i recieved them in march, but wasn't ready for them yet, i did notice the box was ripped open,so,i took a look, and noticed there was no pump to carb line.and thats the one i needed, since i had all of my pulleys, and stuff off.so,i waited a few days, thought it was gonna be sent later .finally call the parts place,i recieved a new one, went to install it and its to short. :af:
so,i started working on the brake lines, and notice the one from the prop valve to passengers wheel is 12" to long. and the one that goes to the rear of the master cylinder is missing, says 5 piece front kit,and there's only 4. :spank:
so,next day i call the parts place, and they tell me to call right stuff,so i did and explained whats wrong, and he said he will see what he can do, calls me back 3 days later :spank: and said he's looking into it. 4 days go by and i call him,and he said he was waiting for me! :eek2: i said for me?? he said he doesn't know whats wrong with the carb line, and said he would send me a differnet line for the passengers side.and the missing line. i recieved the lines yesterday, and tonight i jask the car up,and the line is still 1 foot to long!!!!now i still can't move the car it has no brakes. is there another place i can call?? that knows what there doing???i've spent alot of money with the parts place, but losing my patients! thanks Michael

i bought my front disc conversion from in line tube and wasn't happy. i had to bend all but 3 lines and the rear frame line was too long and i had to cut and reflare it. try classic tube.

I agree with classic tube here in Lancaster NY. The only snag that I ran into was I had a 69 proportioning valve instead of a 70 so I had to order a seperate line from the master cylinder to it beacause of the fitting size difference. Other than my mistake the lines worked for me. If I ever do that job again I will wait until I have the motor out though!

FineLines in Wadsworth Ohio makes all the stuff for YearOne.

They've done several sets for me and others I've recommended them too and all have been happy. They do OE steel and stainless.

I have heard that stainless steel brake lines don't always seal right as the metal does not crush. I used plain steel as my car is kept inside and the originals lasted 30 years. These ones should outlast my drivers license anyway. Don't waste money on stainless
