Stage2 headed 455 Ontario $350!!!!!

NOT MINE!!!!

Add is a little unclear, and its too far from me. Can someone give this guy a call and see what the deal is? $350 is a good deal for any 455, but this one migght have stage 2 heads.

I have too many 455s to go after another one.

No pics of the heads? I'll buy it and pay for your time and shipping if it has them.

 

Its not mine. And thats why its a little unclear because theres no pix of the heads.

The guy is 7 hours away from me, so i cant help. Give him a call.

 

The ad says 73, but its a 861 block.
According to JW's webiste - the 861 block was used from mid year '71 thru mid year '72

Im not interested in buying, but interested to confirm if they are stage 2 heads. If I call the guy, he should be able to tell me if the exhaust ports are round vs square right? That would tell for sure?

 

I was just making a point there are no pics of the heads and I would expect that it is not stage 2. I would never send money that far away to someone I do not know for something I cannot see in person. zIf by chance somone near there wanted to assist I would be interested in paying them for their time. If it turned out to be a Stage 2 headed engine which is what makes it even remotely interesting I would say its worth all the problems and the expense to have someone ship it . I have looked at several Stage 2's around here adn they all we nothing more than Electra engines that somone advertized with stage 2 because they read somewhere that it was worth nmore. I am getting a little tired of that kind of seller.

 

I'll Buy em'. 455's are kinda like money and sex, you can never have to much.

 

The head at the front of the block has stamped rockers so likely a 71. Oh" and if they are stg2's sorry no shipping outside Canada.

Just called the guy and got voice mail. I left a message. We will see if he calls me back. Is there anyone on this board that lives close?

 

Look in the upper right of the engine picture. Notice the stock exhaust manifold. These would not fit stage 2 heads which had special headers in lieu of manifolds.

Correct...and I copied and blew up the picture to get a closer look at the head in the background...it's a non stg2 head.

If he had the stg2 heads I would just tell him to keep the block and ups the heads out for the same $$

 

I'm 2 1/2 hrs way. But it's highly doubtful it's what the ad says.

455's in rotating condition are a wee bit hard to find for $350 up here in the great white north - lot's of the 'ran when I pulled it' variety though

Nothing like a Stage 2 for sale add to get the heart pumping!ray:

 

Just offer him $200 since it's obviously not a Stage 2.

I called him and left a msg, and also e-mailed him to ask for info. No reply so far. Just curious to know what they actually are!!!

(i know we concluded the heads and manifold in the picture are not Stg2 but maybe he has alot of buick stuff layin around)..... o No:

 

He was supposed to call me back with the head casting #s but didn't "not that I care". The ad is deleted so perhaps it sold.

I am the one that bought it for $350 - and they ARE stage 2 heads.

Drove all day to get em.

About the Stg2 or buying it?

 

Azeem your one leg is shorter than the other. If the pic was blown up with the head behind the block it's obvious. NON STG2...... Period.
