I have built a 455 to the original Stage 2 configuration using the S2 iron heads, B4B, Kustom headers, etc. Engine produces 520 hp and 560 ft/lbs torque.

I plan on using the Magna-Flow stainless mufflers. I have two questions. First, is there any HP difference between an X pipe versus H pipe, and second, can I use 3 pipes from the collectors through the muffler and reduce down to 2 tail pipe without any significant loss in HP?

The rationale for going from 3 to 2 is that I prefer not to have the look of the large tailpipe at the back of the car.any experience with this set-up or general comments regarding the GSCA Magna-Flow mufflers would be appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Philip

Dynos show an increase in power when using an X pipe over an H. Some dynos show an H system loosing power. Show us some pics.
