Stage 2 info

Hi everybody. I just read an article about Tom Rixs awesome factory 70 Stage 2. I the article they also mentioned a 70 GSX factory stage 2. What happened to that car seems to be some kind of mystery. Does anyone on the board know anything about this car?

 

You are not referring to the Kenne Belle Stage 2 car which is now owned by Guy P on this Board?

 

Isnt that the white GS stage 2? In the article they mentioned 2 GS stage 2 and one GSX stage 2.

 

Yes that is the white one. Ask Guy but I recall from earlier post some of the factory test cars no longer exist. Pehaps it was one. I do not think any production, as opposed to over the counter or test cars, GS/GSX Stage 2 cars were made. But there are some real experts on the Board. Dennis Manner would know.

 

I think that the stage 2 GSX burnt to the ground for some reason. I may be wrong though.

 

Gregg, I remember reading that it burnt up on a test track of some kind.Supposedly the hood was all that was left. :shock:

That hood is now on Tom's car...I have the other hood/stg2 scoop.
Rumor has it that there were three made. Where is the third???

I think that story has been disputed and the Gsx car was dismantled after a magazine writer thur a rod out the side. Tom Rix's car has the hood and scope on it or has it. The rest of it ???? The car is known as 4085.

 

Thanks for the info. As I can figure it out. Guy has one of the Stage 2 test cars and Tom Rix has one (shouldnt this car had a stage 2 hood from the beginning). The test GSX car is gone. That means there were three cars made. Have I got it right so far or am I missing something?
