Andrew, Wolverine of the infamous Massholes has rear shoulder belts in his black 70 GS455. Maybe he would post a pic?

So those mount on top of the back tray? And for the lower portion do the belts hook along with the others under the seat?

Send Wolverine a PM, or look in a Fisher Body manual.

Do you guys know what model year skylarks these rear seat belts were available for? Was it an option in the Deluxe interior package?

    registered?

Marco, Is this car already in the stage 1 registry? I noticed he shows the VIN in one of the photos and it is an original Stage 1 car.

I had the back shoulder belts in a 72GS that I recently sold. No pics of them, sorry.

It's not common knowledge but the big 3 auto makers started to put the mounting bosses in the rear for shoulder belts in the sixties . Something I learned from one of the shows on cable TV . They wanted to make it easier to do if the gov made them retrofit . When dissassembling a car look for them I bet you find them .

    Hi Gary -

Outside of the Ebay ad, and the discussion here, I have no prior knowledge of this GS. Yes I saw the VIN, but I don't know what options on this 'rolling dealer brochure' are original.

There are so many cars I'm aware of that are not registered.

The factory stage1 registry project (as well as other registries such as the GSX registry and the '73-'75 registry) can only succeed if the owners participate. :Smarty:

    Soooooo

Is it correct to have that Phillips screw in the wood grain next to the wiper switch? I don't remember mine being like that... :Do No:

I'm inclined to believe all these options did come with it from the factory, not sure though. :bglasses:

Hey Bill , my Suncoupe was 5340.00 without most of those options . Maybe it was a employee's car ?

    cost

Yeah John it seemed cheap to me also, my orange 4 gear bare bone car not even power steering was 4700, and my cortez car which is probably as loaded then this car other then those funny knobs was 5970. maybe the orignal owner got a deal or was a employee or something. Definitely like the thought of your suncoupe being white on black and even a full vinyl roof now that I see this car. Is that collector car orange stage suncoupe the only full vinyl top suncoupe car you've seen? Bill

I have a picture of a triple black Suncoupe from California at the 94 NATS that has the full vynil roof . Other than that I don't remember seeing another . I am going to go with the original roof and color combo on the Suncoupe since it is so rare I will probably try to do a faithful resto . The Orange car was the magazine test car supplied by Buick for 72 , all pictures I have seen are from GM or from magazines of the era . Most of the pics I have of it are black and white . The magazine pics were reproduced to me in black and white but they should be in color .
