I would like to buy an original 1970 Stage 1. I would prefer a quality, rustfree driver, but would consider a car with some rust as long as it was all original.

Not to dream too much, but I'd really like to find the all original, red/white interior, automatic, southern California car, I sold in Buffalo, NY in 1988 or 1989. I sold it to a "broker" that said he was shipping it to Georgia.

    Thanks for any leads.

Welcome to the board, Al. Keep your eyes open over here....it seems that every decent car for sale in the country gets put up here for discussion/comments or rude gestures. I know I needn't remind you of ebay...I've bought three of mine there. Dan

    Hey Al

I think Mark Reeves ended up with your car. Red/White/White auto stage 1 all #'s matching, low mile, SoCal car. It was in the Atlanta paper about 2 years ago. Mark bought it, cleaned it up, showed it and sold it to a collector. I think it is in the mid west now. Mark goes by stage-x on this board. He could tell you the details.

Good luck! I am thinking about selling another stage 1 pretty soon but not sure yet. What is your upper limit of what you can spend?

docgsx - Thanks for the info on the red/white/white. I'm curious if it's the same Stage 1. I'll look to see if I have any old pictures of mine.

As to what my price range is, I'm willing to be in the market, but not set the market. I guess all I'm saying is I don't have Hollywood money and we're not at the B-J auction. Nonetheless, I'd pay up for reasonably nice, original car that I can drive. I was the back bidder on Ernie's car when it was on ebay (I don't know if that helps or not).
