I was looking through the chassis service manual for the 64 Wildcat, and it says Type A transmission fluid (22 pints! :shock: ) should be used. What are you ST400 drivers using?
Type A has been obsolete for a very long time. I don't know the exact specifics of what is the actual difference, but dexron 2 seems to work fine. Last time I bought some, I think it's now called "dexron/mercon". Hey, it's red. ou:
