If anyone has any pictures as to how they are squeezing their 30X10.5's into a non-tubbed opening ('70 GS) I would appreciate seeing them.

I currently run M/T 28X10.5W's with very minimal rubbing on the inside frame. The plan is to go to Goodyear 30X10.5s (not radials).

Suspension is a ladder bar/ coil over set up. I've checked clearances and things are pretty much centered. Doesn't look like I will gain much from moving things rearward. The wheel opening has already been rolled. At the bottom of the rocker panel I have between 1/4 and 1/2" clearance.

I'm thinking of cutting/notching the bottom section of the wheel wheel to be flush with the end of the rocker trim to gain the necessary clearance.

    Thanks!

Don't know how to draw on the puter so I printed your picture out and modified it for reference.....

Excluding your thumb,Cut out the shaded area and weld it back together.
It's done on my car and not noticable.....You can join the ranks of the "CUT-UP Buick".........And it's weight removal

I had those tires in and un-modified wheel well but that car had adjustable control arms.

Use a RotoZip. They cut great and are very easy to handle. I used one to trim my upper fender wells for proper fit of my tires and it worked like a charm.
