Top dollar paid for the early style B4B that is the Holley squarebore style only. Must be in excellent condition and prefer unmodified. Call or email me. Thanks, Tom 815-675-3188
? how do you tell a early style from later? im guessing the early ones didnt cover the 'air' holes in the later (72-76) heads? the one that i have on my car doesnt cover those holes, i had to put plugs in them, also i have to run an adapter plate to run my 750 edelbrock. buickbert
Buickbert, You are correct that the early ones had the manifold sides cut down between #3&5 cylinders and #4&6 cylinders. Even though all B4B's were had bolt holes drilled for both Q-jet and Holley carbs the carb mounting opening was only machined for the squarebore Holley. The center diveder was also notched in the rear for the Holley 3 barrel butterfly to clear. Anyone have one? Tom
square bore i have one. old style. slightly modified. center divider cut down and rounded +-1/2". ports were gasket matched. other than that a good clean up job and it's ready to bolt on. also have slightly used arp intake bolts to go with it. call me if your are interested. tony 810-599-4140
Tom I have a nice old B4B ( Maybe 25 years old) with a dual line Holley on it but when I pulled it out today it is the universal type that could be made to fit a Q jet too. I understand this is not what you are looking. I have it out of storage now but because I think you want the Holley only style I did not take a pic. I have NOS headlamp covers for 70-72 sklylarks but I am undecided about selling. You are not interested in cores for rechroming? I may have some rechromed 70s but I have a ton in them. When you go to get some rechromed you are going to see what I mean. Pot metal work has gone up a lot in the last few years.
I think I have a NOS one siting at home . I will check it tmorrow I am stuck at the firehouse today . I know its new bought inearly 1980's if thats any evidence . We will know for sure tomorrow
Sorry Tom I pulled the tape off it today and its both . I have the recipt from KB in 1982 so I thought it would be the right one
