Well to day we were messing around with the parts car we got and got it running. Tossed a battery in it, changed the starter and added some tranny fluid and we were off!!!!!

350 4bbll runs pretty good still considering a tuneup needed badly. We could not resist taking the car out in front of the house to do some smokey burnouts and test the old girl out.

We had a fun time and got some of the motivation back to get working on our cars. Today it was like 40 and it was really nice.

    Cant wait for spring.

    Heres some pics:TU:

    chryco63 14's or bust!

That's what I was thinkin' too, Rick! If it can do a brakestand, you've already got your "whoa" and your "go." All you need are floors, and you're set! :)

I wish I lived ANYWHERE where there wasn't a subdevelopment!!! The chances of doing a holeshot around here are almost nil...

I took the boys out in the new 70 electra and tryed to toast the RR tire but the new brakes on the rear work very well and the four barrel would not come in. So back to the shop for a little carb. work and back to the streets. I still can't power brake it but just build it up and then let it rip. The kids think it is so cool. I am trying to raise them right. You know no tags, state inspection or insurance but who care! I just keep it close to home, but not in front of my own house! The cops would just love me then. And the wife too.

    Chris Lott 4 speed finally

I agree Jimmy, there isn't anything like doing a tune up, and making a run out to the backroads with your dad to test the posi and 4bbl. At the family dinner table, you discuss how well the car runs and it cruises right along at the speed limit. In the garage it's how fast you hit triple digits and how much smoke you made getting there   .

Yes the idiot driving was me! Like Jimmy,no license, inspection(ran out in 97)no insurance and finally no title either. We have a 1/4 mile straight stretch out in front of the house and its really flat and wide.My wife really didn't think it was too impressive but,we had a blast. On this run the hood nearly fell off(since its not bolted on just laying there)I can't believe that it ran as good as it did since the timing is way off and the spark plug wires are totally shot.I darn near ripped most of the remainding tread that was on the rear tires off on just a few runs.I really can't believe the neighbors didn't call the police, but it does help out that I work for the DOT and know most of them anyways.

Really the pics do this car alot of justice. It has major trunk rot, exhaust is rusted and I can look through the floor beside the rocker and see the ground.About the only good body piece is the driver door, but it does have a really decent black interior that I am going to use in my 71 GS.Just a way for me to get in trouble.
