Darren, I thought about this, and I'm a butthead. Azzhole! Sorry to turn your AWESOME thread about you, and another cool Buick guy, into something political. Have FUN!!!
All good John, can’t wait to meet you guys in person, will do some more cool stuff together as Buick brothers here in Florida!
Siesta key is about 20 minutes from us https://www.siestakeyrum.com/ if you have your motorcycle license, you can rent motorcycles and scooters at different locations in the area as well.
Look at me -- showing restraint for once! Judging from the way you are showing off the fare from the grill, I can only assume you'll provide the same at Waterboy's in two weeks. I mean, it seems like the only logical conclusion. I hope.
I like the white quartz sand but prefer the more rustic natural beaches. I will usually take guests to SK just to experience the cool to the feet white sand. My local beach is a mile so I often just take the kayak out to the beach
We go there every year or every other year and have for a long time. Keep going to the very end of Captiva to Sunset beach for a magnificent sunset, and if you're luck you’ll see the green flash. Also find a boat and go over to Cabbage Key Island and to the Cabbage Key Inn and Restaurant, where Jimmy Buffet allegedly penned Cheeseburger in Paradise. You won’t be disappointed with your eats at the restaurant. Very cool place!
Sanibel is nice! Timbers restaurant my favorite..... Have a time share with my two sisters....tired of paying $1600 a year for one week just in maintenance fee plus rental car and airline flight! Told them I'm not going back and not paying for not even going....... Nice break in the winter tho.......
Do you take your guests up to the siesta key drum circle? That’s often a tourist thing we do with first timers
it is certainly one of the top rated beaches in the country but not my first choice either. Crazy, crazy during spring break. A fun area to go party.
My favorite beach in FL is on the east coast. New Smyrna Beach has the best sand and slope. Just don’t go in the water early in the morning.
Yep, Timbers is great! We rent a waterfront condo from Mark aka Mark’s Pizzeria. He has 2 at the Sanibel Siesta. Nicest guy, very down to earth, and he’s not an old feller either. Sanibel Beach has great shells, esp after a storm rolls through.
